Evaluation:

for the final product i think it went better than expected, i wasn't too sure that the idea i had for the documentary as i weren't too sure it would work and i thought it wouldn't however i would have liked it to work in the way i initially wanted it to.

what went well:

in my opinion i think that the main story voice over as it was clear and made sense within the story and it was fun to do even if i messed up a lot with it.

another thing that i think went well in this project was the interview, the layout was good however it wasn't fully in focus and some parts were at an angle which did make it hard to correct and due to that i changed the colours to black and white which means i adapted to the situation which i fell i did well.

i think that the speed paint went relatively well other than the layout of it i kept zooming i and out as well as rotating the page which did mean that  fitting it all in the frame was quite difficult.

Jasmine Blue's input: the drawings were good it was very visual, the narration was clear, it was good.
for next time have royalty free music.

Milli Butler's input: the narration had a good tone, the intro was good and helped give context to the story. try to summarise it better as it did go over the time limit, try to shorten the story a bit more.

what to improve:

i think when recording the speed paints i should have done it in a way that was satisfying to watch as i kept rotating and zooming in and out which made it rather nauseating for an audience to watch.

with the beginning and ending i used a different mic which made it sound different and more echoy and sounded very different from the main narration.

with the interview wasn't fully in focus and some parts were at an angle which did make it hard to correct and due to that i changed the colours to black and white and the interviewee didn't clarify her answers enough and as an interviewer i should have been more confident and ask her to clarify.

also with the speed paints i think it would have been better if the art style stayed the same all the way through but as i recorded them at different times and my style has evolved since the first image i drew, so next time i would try and record all of the art work closer together.

what i learnt from this project:

from this project i learnt to speed and slow things down for example the speed paints which i had to speed it up to roughly 2500 to make it fit the narration which i did for each of the speed paints.

also from this project i had to make the background song last longer which i figured out how to cut and add certain parts of the song to increase the song in the area's i thought would work.

i also learnt how to record my voice and be comfortable talking to a mic which helped me with my sound project.

if i were to do this project again:

in general for this project, if i were to do this again i would change the whole composition. the idea of having speed paints were a good idea in theory but the way i excecuted it didn't work out the way i wanted it to, so if i were to do this  again i may change the whole idea as talking about a creepy pasta would be difficult to get actual footage for so i would change the entire thing. this project's final product wasn't what i hoped it would be however i did learn new techniques which may help me in other projects.
