Production

Production:

with the interview of my friend Milli i wanted to add subtitles to make what she is saying more clear and easier to understand. I also wanted to add subtitles because it is used in documentaries a lot to emphasise what the interviewee is saying.

when i added the subtitles the text was very hard to read as the text was white on a black and white  background.

so i decided to keep the colour of the text white but make it more visual and readable.

so on the text settings i added a shadow on the text and made it black to make the subtitles stand out so you can read it better

i did also change the font to make it easier to read, the font i chose was 'tahoma' as it is clear, easy to read font.

it still isn't great but it is a lot better than the original text

as for the speed paints i changed the exposure and the contrast to make the line-art stand out and make the whites actually white.

also for the speed paint's i zoomed them in and positioned them into a way that only the image can be seen.

the only other thing that i did to the speed paints is that i sped them up to make them into an actual speed paint and not a quick real time drawing.

at the end of each speed paint i put in the image on its own so that the audience can see the illustration for longer.

i did this so that the audience can get a real feel for the story and what's going on within the story.

as for recording the voice over, this was my setup:

i used this as my setup,
i used my drawing tablet as a screen to look at my script.

i used my dad's laptop with the recording software on it.

this is my laptop and drawing tablet which needs to be connected to the laptop with two leads and then connected to the electric.

these are some of the brush presets i have on firealpaca, also for the drawings i need to add layers

one for the sketch

another  two or three for the line work

and another for anything else i need

for the recording process we plan on using the app cubase which records music and vocals and has its own presets for sound.

as for the recording of the narration
